Mit dem Tuning Dongle wird die Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung von 25 km/h einstellbar verschoben. Der Dongle wird an ein mitgeliefertes Verbindungskabel angeschlossen, ohne Dongle verhält sich das E-Bike immer wie im Originalzustand.

Die tatsächliche Geschwindigkeit bleibt ablesbar. Bis 20 km/ wird die Geschwindigkeit normal ausgegeben. Oberhalb 20 km/h wird sie über die zweite Ziffer und die Nachkommastelle angezeigt. Hierdurch bleibt die andernfalls verräterische Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit im Display immer im realistischen Bereich. Beispiele:

  • Angezeigt 22,9 km/h entspricht 29 km/h
  • Angezeigt 23,4 km/h entspricht 34 km/h
  • Angezeigt 24,8 km/h entspricht 48 km/h


Die zurückgelegten Streckenkilometer werden nach einer Minute im Stillstand automatisch nachgetragen. Somit ist am Ende der Tour maximale Geschwindigkeit, Strecken- und Gesamtkilometer korrekt.

Hierfür ist eine einmalige einfache Kalibrierung notwendig, welche bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme automatisch startet: Am Tacho wird eine steigende Geschwindigkeit angezeigt. Sobald ca. 10,0 km/h angezeigt werden, muss der Dongle abgezogen und anschließend wieder eingesteckt werden. Nun wird erneut eine in kleinen Schritten steigende Geschwindigkeit am Tacho angezeigt und es muss bei genau 10,0 km/h abgeschaltet werden.
